Job Summary
The post-holders will be responsible for maintaining the ongoing high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout all catering areas including the kitchen. They will work alongside the staff to ensure that the kitchen area is clean and tidy and that an efficient catering service is always maintained.
The ideal candidates should have one years’ experience working within a kitchen, however, applicants without this experience will also be considered. Candidates must possess excellent people skills to communicate politely and professionally with patients and staff.
The successful candidates will assist with cleaning all areas of kitchen and in accordance with the hospitals catering hygiene and food handling policy. This involves cleaning all crockery, cutlery and equipment to ensure a clean and professional working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes and cooking utensils quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness to a high standard.
- Assist in the preparation of food
- Serve food to the patient
- Collect menus from patients
- Daily order of food
- Ensure specific dietary requirements are met.
- Ensure customer satisfaction is met.

- 1 years’ experience within a busy catering or other customer service environment.
